Skylar Rabon B.A. Film

 Skylar began her fascination with technology and media at age 5 when she got her first laptop computer.  Being raised by her father since age 5,  she made her first anime music video at age eleven and began learning video and editing software such as Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Sony Vegas Pro and others for video editing.  She began learning the techniques to make stop motion videos and more advanced anime music videos.   Watching videos, collaborating with peers online and by trial and error she has become technically proficient as a video editor .  One college professor at one of the University Portfolio Days made the comment that she showed mastery of film techniques that is usually seen in students that have already been in video and film production programs a few years. 

Skylar has won many honors in High School competitions including a "Student Emmy" awarded by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.  In addition she has won honors and nominations in other competitions that were open to college students and professionals.

where she posts many anime music videos she has edited.  Her channel is popular with over 35,000 subscribers and over 11,000,000 views.

Skylar is a very diligent and hard worker, dedicated to learning all she can to create a career for herself in the film and media industry.  Knowing there are few female film makers in the industry just gives her more determination to reach for the stars.  To quote her when asked what do you want to accomplish she says "I would like to  create  something that will make a difference in someone's life and it isn't about blowing everything up like  most of today's movies and TV shows."
